The warrior class is the original melee attacker, using heavy armor to soak damage and strong weapons to dispatch of foes. While warriors may primarily be known for excelling as tanks, they also make for a fun and useful damage class. Mastering your DPS warrior is far from simple, but is very rewarding once you understand what makes the class work!
The warrior is the only class in WoW Classic that is actually playable by every race in the game. That’s right! All four Alliance races (dwarf, gnome, human, night elf) and Horde races (orc, tauren, troll, undead) are fair game for warriors. However, because of the way racial abilities work, each faction has a clear winner when it comes to deciding on a race. If you want a clear breakdown of each race and what abilities each offers, you can check them all out here!
The Anvil – Protection 51. No, really. This is a build that the first MT in my first raiding guild used, and with it we cleared several realm first kills all the way up to Naxx 40. This build sacrifices pretty much all damage and Deflection over in Arms, which was a hard sell at the time — when I started main tanking I ended up going with a variant Arms 5/Protection 46 build that gave up Improved Taunt and One-Handed Weapon Spec for those 5 points in Deflection. Either way, this is a spec that says I tank, and I don’t do anything else without either spending gold or bringing a lot of friends with me. But they have a ton of survival in them.
I now have a Patreon Page where you guys can support me while I work on Vanilla WoW leveling guides every day. I appreciate all of you who support me on there, it means a lot to me right now. Doing this full time is taxing on my financial situation. My goal is to make the best Vanilla WoW leveling guides on the web and the donations keep me going at it healthfully. There is also cool rewards you get in return for donating. Thanks!
This section gets a bit more in-depth as a Classic WoW Best Spec For Leveling Up Tier List, where certain classes can a have a really good spec for levelling while the other talent specs are more useful in PVP. Just below this, you can find links to our complete levelling guides for each class, where you can view to find all the information you will need to level up fast. This includes easy to gather weapons, locations you can farm mobs and a complete talent spec build we recommend while going from 1-60 in classic wow.
When it comes to PVP Warrior players will tend to either go Fury or Arms Spec, Fury early levels and when you reach level 60 Arms can be a monster with the right type of gear. Arms specifically with the final talent in the arms tree Mortal Strike is really good for dealing with healers as it reduces the amount of healing that target receives by 50%. Fury can stick to enemies a bit easier thanks to Death Wish, which makes you immune to the Fear you can expect to see from Preist.
On August 27, veterans and newcomers will be able to relive World of Warcraft’s epic origins as they assemble a 40-player raid to take on the fiery hazards of Molten Core; fight for their faction in the ongoing world PvP struggle between Southshore and Tarren Mill; muster a realm-wide war effort to open the gates of Ahn’Qiraj; and much more. The Selfish Arms-Fury 31/20 build. This build is all about a 2h weapon. It hasn’t made any concessions to expecting to tank, and it’s purely about doing as much damage as possible with a 2h weapon, specifically a sword in this case for the Sword Specialization chance to proc another attack. This build could easily change based on what the best 2h weapon you happened to have access to is — most players would probably use Axe or Polearm spec since those seemed easier to get than swords. This particular spec doesn’t even use Deflection, which is a decent survivability talent, choosing instead to focus on Improved Overpower for more crit chance when dealing with annoying Rogues trying to dodge everything you do. This is as close to a glass cannon build as Arms Warriors ever got, back in the day. Arms with proper gear for the time (basically, the best PVP gear or raid gear from BWL or up) would go with this spec and just annihilate people in BG’s, trusting in a pocket healer to keep them alive long enough to ruin people’s days. If you saw an Arms Warrior with the Might of Menethil and Mace Spec, you knew you were in for a bad, bad time.

In-Game Addon Version of My Leveling Guides: As of June 6th the In-Game Addon version of my leveling guides has began construction! It will be a long road before it's finished completely, so I cannot guarantee how much of it will be ready for Classic Launch but there is a decent chance that some starting zones will be complete for it by then. It will be full of features, including: waypoint arrows, automatic updating, and much more. More features will be available for it overtime too.
