The Horde levels 50-60 guide has been rewritten and revamped.  My 1-60 Horde leveling guide is now completely updated for the 1.12 Drums of War patch.  As you can see it is about 15% larger than the 40-50 guide (single largest guide page yet).  There is also a lot of route changes.  I moved the entire Silithus section from level 55 to level 58, which allowed me to include a lot more quests for that zone.  There is also a lot of other improvement to the route, including adding a lot more quests into the guide, mostly from Moonglade, Silithus and Eastern Plaguelands.  This will make the final level 59 grind much shorter.

1 Eye of Sulfuras And there you have it. Obviously Sulfuras is very much a guild-wide effort and the most common path to getting it is to have the guild gather up all the mats collectively, to then give to whoever earns the Eye - either through DKP or whichever method the guild uses. However, since pugs will be much more of a thing in Classic than they were in Vanilla, it's not completely insane to think someone will want to do this solo/without guild support, but for that you'd either have to have a whole lot of gold (not to mention luck to even get the Eye in a pug) and perhaps do some planning ahead of time, especially with the transmutes.

The stat priority for leveling is loosely as follows: Spellpower > Spirit >= Mp5 > Haste > Intellect > Spell Hit > Spell Crit > Stamina > Agility. When choosing between Mp5 and Spirit, remember that 1 Spirit is worth .625 Mp5 while not casting, and 1.25 Mp5 while not casting if Spirit Tap is active. Also keep in mind that Spirit is doubled by Spirit Tap, but Mp5 is not.

Step-by-step class guides are on the way!  The 1-12 Mulgore Guide is the first guide to get all the individual class steps.  At the top of the guide, simply select which class you are playing and the page will dynamically update all the steps in the guide for that class (both text and images).  The rest of the guides will be slowly updated overtime to include all the class steps, but you can see how it's going to work with the 1-12 Mulgore.  I want to thank crazyK and his Placeholderguild for helping me out with the individual class content.  They are allowing me to get the 1-60 Alliance guide done while also getting all the class steps done at the same time, so everything can be ready for Classic launch (hopefully).

A priest’s gear, despite what many seem to believe, makes a rather significant impact on their ability to level efficiently. Of course, better gear is always nice to have, but what is important is understanding why certain gear is better, and knowing what stats to look for on gear. It’s impossible to accurately calculate the value of each stat for leveling, but understanding what each stat does can help one make better decisions when choosing what gear to use.
Spell Hit increases one’s chance to hit with spells, or more accurately, reduces one’s chance to miss with spells. While leveling, one’s chance to miss with spells is so low (or sometimes non-existent) that this stat is near worthless. However, any piece of gear with Spell Hit is also likely to have other stats on it that make it worth using, and “near worthless” doesn’t mean totally worthless.
This Shadow Talent Build is the fastest for Leveling Up a Priest Class from 1-60 in WoW Classic patch 1.12. Spamming Shadow Damage DOTs while kite mobs will be the name of the game with this build, having the ability to sustain your health is just a bonus. You will just need to make sure you are stacking enough spirit so you don’t run out of mana often as that will slow down the levelling process drastically.
Enchanting – Another fantastic choice is enchanting. A big part of optimization is enchants that add powerful passive bonuses. These too can get fairly expensive, but you can drastically reduce that cost by picking the skill up yourself. If you’ve selected tailoring, enchanting is a great pairing because they both don’t require a dedicated gathering profession to supply it.

Starshards: On-use channeled ability that deals Arcane damage. 30 second cooldown. If uninterrupted, this spell has the highest single target damage per mana of any priest spell in the game. Also deals slightly more damage per second than Mind Flay outside of Shadow Form. In terms of mana-efficiency, this spell can only be beaten by channeling Mind Flay on a target with 5 stacks of Shadow Weaving, but getting Shadow Weaving to 5 stacks is a waste of mana except against Elites and players.
The second issue is distinguishing the difference between DPS (damage per second) and DPM (damage per mana). While leveling, one wants to be efficient, which most people interpret as “kill stuff as fast as possible.” What being efficient actually means is earning as much experience per hour as possible. Priests can kill things really fast, but if one spends twenty seconds drinking after every kill or two, one is not being very efficient.
Don’t ever worry about the armor value or level of gear. The other stats are what are important. The amount of damage reduction gained by focusing on armor values will make little to no impact on leveling at all, and never look at the gear equipped on a character and think it needs to be replaced because it’s “outleveled.” The level of the gear is irrelevant. Vanilla has some terrible items. Level 40 gear can have worse stats than a level 20 item with great stats. Great pieces to look out for are the Dreamweave pieces, the Shadoweave set, Honored PvP reputation gear, and any decent cloth boots, because for whatever reason, good cloth boots are hard to come by.

The crafting process for the Sulfuron Hammer is the grindiest part of this process, as it requires a large amount of difficult to obtain mats, but the Eye itself also has a low (2%-ish) drop chance off Ragnaros, so both parts will require a whole lot of time. This creates a bit of a conundrum, as the logical thing to do is wait until/if you manage to get the Eye for yourself and then start the grind for the crafted hammer. However, unless you get really lucky and get the Eye to drop very early in your Molten Core clears, this is a little impractical as it will take you a long time to gather up all the mats needed, and if you really have your heart set on Sulfuras, you might want to start before you get the Eye. This, of course, is further complicated by some of the mats being drops off bosses in Molten Core, meaning they're either guild property or you'll have to roll for them in pugs. The easy answer here, obviously, is having a good guild that will either decide who's getting the hammer ahead of time, or will bank all the mats and have them ready for whoever gets the Eye when it drops. This also isn't as easy as it sounds, as the big pain-in-the-*filtered* mat required here involves a whole lot of alchemist 2-day cooldown transmutes, which again requires a whole lot of planning.

This is a favourite for most Priest players and mostly used in PVP, but is just as viable in PVE as you would expect from a DOT Spec. Below we have an image of the Best Shadow Talent Build to use in WoW Classic Patch 1.12 and is meant for PVP Battlegrounds use. some of the key points with this build are the obvious ones being Vampiric Embrace which heals you for the damage you do, and then there is Shadow Form which gives you a buff that increases Shadow Damage by 15% and reduces physical damage you take also by 15%
While it is possible to play perfectly with the default UI, there are many critical things missing that will make your life more difficult. This is where addons can be extremely useful. There are a vast number of addons, including more comprehensive UI packages, but below we have listed some of the basic addons that are highly recommended as a Hunter.
